Yes — with a valid Ontario health card, the pharmacist assessment is covered by the province. Standard same-day delivery (order before noon, GTA) and next-day delivery anywhere in Ontario are free. Only the Uber Direct rush option carries a courier fee, shown at checkout.
Yes. When you book you can choose virtual (phone or video) or in-person. In-person visits happen at the participating pharmacy assigned to your visit — see the partner directory for locations.
Order before noon and standard same-day delivery is free. Between noon and 6 PM, we rush it with Uber Direct — you see the exact courier fee before you confirm (usually $8–$20 across the GTA). After 6 PM, orders ship the next business day. Anywhere outside the same-day zone is free next-day.
Yes. Pickup at your assigned participating pharmacy is always free. Choose 'Pickup' at checkout.
Yes. Since January 2023 Ontario pharmacists have been authorized to assess and prescribe for specific minor ailments, regulated by the Ontario College of Pharmacists. The list grew from 19 to 28 on July 1, 2026. Ontario Virtual Pharmacist operates strictly within this scope.
Ontario Virtual Pharmacist is a marketplace — we don't dispense ourselves. Each visit is routed to a participating Ontario-accredited pharmacy based on your delivery address. Your confirmation email tells you which pharmacy is filling your script, and you can see the full network with OCP accreditation details on our /partners page.
If your case needs a doctor — because of red-flag symptoms, a condition outside our scope, or because the pharmacist judges an in-person exam is needed — we tell you directly and send you to the right care (Health Connect Ontario 811, a walk-in clinic, or 911 for emergencies).
Your personal health information is protected under Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA). All data is stored in Canadian data centres, encrypted at rest and in transit, and only accessible to the pharmacist assessing you. See our Privacy page for full details.
